A coalition of 27 lawmakers from across the political spectrum is sponsoring a bill to withdraw the U.S. from the North American Free Trade Agreement, or NAFTA, in as little as six months.Rep. Gene Taylor, D-Miss., has introduced HR 4759, "To provide for the withdrawal of the United States from the North American Free Trade Agreement."

My father was a Baptist Minister, and preached at a small church in a community about 25 miles from our home called Big Piney. It was a town of good, hardworking people who enjoyed life to the fullest. Church was a small one room building. The pews were homemade with rough sawn lumber that were made by the men of the congregation in the 1920's after a tornado destroyed the origanal log building.

When I was growing up here in the Ozarks, many people did not have full time jobs. a good part of them did not have running water or plumbing , but most had electricity. Times were rough for us, and a lot of other people, but we didn't realize just how poor we were, because most everyone was in the same boat. There were a lot of times Dad didn't make $5 a week, but we always got by.
