WOW! Here at backtobasics-homestead.com we do a lot of planting. I never thought of doing that. Than is in my plans. I will give it a try. I'll let you know the results. Sounds great and makes sense. Good post.

We used it for everything but corn and potato and had a great year even thou the hail almost killed everything. It all came back in just 2.3 weeks. We have been doing a lot of testing and made this DVD for the state of OK.......The removal is not bad and the plastic held off most of the weeds....:)

How does the "clean up" of the plastic go? I had a mess when I did it, but I may not have done it correctly. I do think that I got an increase in yield, but the weeds still came - but the plastic held off the weeds for a while. The mositure retention was better - the "clean up" was my problem with it. I might do it again next year - I probably need to research a little more. Also I just used it for tomatoes, peppers, etc. and not for corn, peas, etc. What was your use and experience?
