Dual Survival is the best and I want it on DVD! I want to find out what plant Dave said helps prevent poison ivy in one episode, jewel something? Oh, for transcripts of these shows!

That would be Jewelweed (
i says...
Impatiens capensis
). It typically grows around the area where poison ivy grows. :)

I didnt know how to tune in, thought I could dial it on the radio, and missed it :(. Anyone listen and could give a synopsis of what was talked about? Watched a new show, Apocalypse Man, and one thing he did that was wrong was, when he came upon a house with windows intact and doors still locked and not broken in, he broke in. First, it could have been intact because the owners were still inside protecting it, therefore he should have knocked or listened at windows for sounds first. With tons of abandoned homes you should never just break in one that may have inhabitants, as you may at the least, be killed. Now you also made one more house insecure, a foolish and unnecessary thing to do. He then saw interior doors busted open, and now, belatedly, wondered if it happened days ago or minutes ago. Make sure a place is empty before attempting entry! Of course, why would outside doors be locked yet interior ones busted in, guess the show didn't think that one out. One thing good was he showed how to make fuel for a diesel vehicle if you found one, but how likely would that be? Mostly he snuck around from place to place, alone but pretending others were lurking in the shadows, and if people were everywhere he would not have been able to do much of what he showed you. Hope other shows are more realistic and give help you could actually use. I try to watch them all to learn whatever I can, but Dual Survival is the best and I want it on DVD! I want to find out what plant Dave said helps prevent poison ivy in one episode, jewel something? Oh, for transcripts of these shows!
